Mia Beauty Ltd are a privately owned company engaged in the sale and marketing of beauty and skin care products principally via mail order
We are based in a town called Tring in Hertfordshire , England. This is 35 miles North West of London. All of our business dealings are governed by English and EU law
Yes. We are proud to be able to say that we have shipped to over 120 countries so far. 30% of our business is outside of the United Kingdom.
How are shipping costs calculated?
This website has been programmed with the weight of every product. It calculates the total weight of your parcel and cross references it with the shipping tables from our suppliers.
How quickly are the goods despatched?
We always despatch by close of business the next working day. We do not despatch at weekends or on bank holidays.
What shipping services do you use?
For all parcels up to 2kg in weight within the UK we ship via myHermes . This is a track and trace courier service developed for the home delivery internet shopping services. The service is a 3-5 day service depending on location. For international deliveries we use Royal Mail International Signed For Services for deliveries up to 2kg and above that we use FedEx,DHL, UPS, DPD ,GLS and EMS
In the UK we would expect you to have your parcel within 5 working days. In Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore we generally allow 10 days. The rest of the world you should allow 21 days
Yes, all our parcels have a tracking number however, when the goods go via the mail service the quality of the tracking varies considerably from country to country.
Yes, this is partly to do with the tracking number. In the UK we have to pay an extra £0.75 to insure domestic postage. For the rest of the world we have to pay £5.15. This is why the postage for a single unit is so expensive for delivery outside of the UK. We only pay the £5.15 per parcel so the more things in the parcel the cheaper the unit price for postage becomes. When we get to 2kg we move over to the courier companies and things generally get cheaper still as their rates tend to change every 5kg
What about local taxes and import duty?
All taxes for the UK and EU are included in the price you pay. Outside of the EU, every country has its own rules and we are unable to advise on this situation. You will be responsible for importing the product and paying any taxes or duty charged by your government. When we despatch goods outside of the EU we will complete a customs declaration to accompany the parcel. This will always show the total that you paid for the goods, it will not include the shipping charge. The Babaria range of products was produced in Spain (a member state of the EU) and your parcel was shipped from the United Kingdom (also a member state of the EU). The majority of countries will allow the import of 1 or 2 items via the post without any further charges. Should you want more please check before ordering what taxes you will have to pay to receive the goods. A good place to ask would be your local DHL office as they would have to collect the money on behalf of your government.
No, this service is very expensive and is not economically viable
